Absolutely! While you may be familiar with our route and some of the tasting locations, the opportunity exists to taste new food items and to learn more about the establishments themselves. We will share some fun facts about Downtown Syracuse’s history, architecture and culture that you have yet to discover.  Also, as a local, you will have the unique opportunity to re-visit many of the eateries we will stop at, as well as others we recommend, all at your leisure!  Finally, this tour is an excellent activity with which to entertain out-of-town family and guests.

Tours generally last 3.0 hours and participants can expect to be standing or walking for a majority of the time. We cover two miles and walk at a moderate pace. We will also sit at two locations for at least 45 minutes total.

Sampling Syracuse Food Tours provides enough food that for most participants, lunch afterwards is not necessary. Please understand our food tours are not intended to replace breakfast and lunch combined, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour.

Water will be provided at a couple of stops along the tour, and one tasting will include a beverage that is not water. Feel free to bring your own bottle of water if you would like to have something throughout the tour.

Please be sure and let us know if you or anyone in your group has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, celiac, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can typically accommodate your needs.

We are typically able to provide alternative tasting options for vegetarians. Be sure and let us know any dietary restrictions when you purchase tickets for your tour.

While a few of the tastings are vegan-friendly, many of them are not. Unfortunately, the tour visits several local establishments where vegan options are not available. While vegans are welcome to take the tour and learn about the history and culture of Syracuse, we will not be able to provide vegan-friendly tastings at several of the tasting stops.
